anybody know the rumor about SB-700? like when it will be release, the price, the function ect, and I heard it will be much improve than SB-600? CMIIW.

PS. SB-900 cannot get such hard type filters right? Is there? The soft type filters, gone case if you are shooting a lot.

Guide number (20°C/68°F) 34/111.5 (ISO 100, m/ft), 48/157.5 (ISO 200, m/ft)
SB-700
Guide number 28/92 (ISO 100, m/ft.), 39/128 (ISO 200, m/ft.)

In the original package, SB900 and SB700 will have the hard type of gel filters.
SB800 only have the soft type.

In the original package, SB900 and SB700 will have the hard type of gel filters.
SB800 only have the soft type.

SJ-3's are akin to SJ-1's which are soft filters... it'll still wrinkle in heat.

It's not a HARD filter, only the holder is hard.

Less power than SB-600 - only by a small amount.... but the specs and design have come from the SB-900.... It looks great and have TWO on order to go with my SB-900...as a basic and very portable lighting system.

I think you will see it at about SGD $450.

I just recently bought a second SB 600. Two of those costs me less than one SB-900 (yes, they cannot be used for commander). Thought about getting a SB-700 but figured if I was using both the light would be balanced better if they are the same (SB-700 was said to be less power). Costs about $100 less in US than SB 700 too. I am still in the early stages of trying to use off camera flash.
