what is the edge stamp on your batteries? I wonder if the batteries are old stock or new stock still having problems?

I found this list of batch numbers known to be affected. Of which, I have two batched 04-12-0A that seem to have the problems described.

copy and paste:

05-03-ac
04-12-0A
04-09-SH
04-11-ul
04-09
04-10

(any other batch number?)

Sorry, I didn't think it was a good idea to put the content here since it originated elsewhere.

Anyway, I have a list of batch numbers (from what I own) that seem to be ok. I did the following as recommended by posters here:
1. Charge to full
2. Leave idle for 2 days
3. Test in pairs using a GPS device

Numbers that seem to be ok:
05-06-0A (4 pieces tested)
05-02-RW (4 pieces tested)
05-01-0A (4 pieces tested)

Disclaimer: I can't guarantee that my test are accurate. :)

retrok, sorry about that...cant edit my post though...

my apology.

I am sorry to hear about your plight... :(: i was lucky as i went down straight last Friday without any email and phone call... The lady came out and told me straight that i must have print out the email slip else officially they can't replace the faulty batteries but in the end, after explaining to her that i got to know of such service through the forums and so on she decided to let me change it.

So for those who wants to change your batteries, try to email them and get a reply before going down else if they refused to change it, it would be a wasted trip for you....

I saw these Eneloop batt in Japan...

but rather expensive..and since it's sanyo..I avoided it..

Enelope is just 2100mAh. Sanyo has already come out with 2700mAh in Japan, is Singapore selling already?

Brought my 2 sets there but after testing, they say since there is no significant drop in voltage, the battery is ok, was so disappointed... the charge retention is inherently poorer than the lower mAh ones...

How to justify the drop by ownself?
I charge my 2500mah and tested around 1.4V, after 2 days it drop to around 1.28 to 1.3V.
So can it consider a significant drop?

Hi all
I just bought new batteries and will be charging for the 1st time.
Should I fire shots to test how long it last and then recharge again to leave for 2 days to test the discharge problem? Will be travelling over the CNY so hope to source out any problem batteries before i leave.... what is the most effective way to test them?

Thanks very much.

The problem don't usually show immediately, only after quite some cycles of charge and discharge then it may show. But overall speaking, NiMH re-chargeable battery charge retention ability is not very good, best is charge one day before you want to use.

I emailed them on thursday 12 Jan and had not gotten a reply from them. Is this normal? I tried calling but can't seem to get thru. :( Is the contact person still Heather?
