665) Had early breakfast at the hotel. Considering that this is a business economy hotel (at 4500yen a night), I was pretty satisfied with their food variety. I had meatballs, fried chicken karaage, shiumai, tamagoyaki, miso soup, and rice.

666) Took a train from Tsurumi station (where my hotel is located), to Ofuna station where I transferred to another train to get to Kamakura station. Total journey from Tsurumi (located somewhere between Tokyo and Yokohama) to Kamakura is about 40-50mins, costs me 450yen.

675) Walking from Hase station to the Great Buddha. (about 5-8mins walk)

676) 200m more to go...

677) Still walking...

678) Finally arrived at Great Buddha.

679)

680) Great Buddha

681)

682) Found 1 early blooming Sakura tree at Great Buddha. This was 18 March 2013.

683)

684) Admission ticket. 200yen.

685)

686) Small shopping mall near Hase station

687)

689) Train's here

690) Arrival at Kamakura station.

691) While walking from Kamakura station towards Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, I passed by this florist selling many pretty flowers... Guess springtime's coming.

692)

693) There is a nice walkway in the middle of the road that leads up to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. During Sakura season (which I'm about 1 week early), this entire stretch will be extremely crowded due to the row of sakura trees that line up this walkway.

694) Hachimangu Shrine

695)

696)

670) Cool looking bank building

671) Finally arrived at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (after about a slow 15mins stroll from Kamakura station)

687)

After Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, I decided to walk towards Kenchoji Temple. It's about 20mins walk on slight upslope.

688) Arrival at Kenchoji Temple

689)

690)

691)

692)

693) It was a slow 20mins climb up to the viewing platform behind Kenchoji Temple for me. Many steps.

694)

695)

696)

697) The first viewing platform. I believe there's a 2nd on that's about 5 to 10mins climb, but weather wasn't too good with strong winds picking up, so I left after spending just 10mins here.

698) View of Kenchoji from the viewing platform

699) If you are lucky, you can also see Mt Fuji from here if it's a clear day. Too bad it was cloudy on the day I went.

700) A small shrine at the viewing platform

701) Signages just outside Kenchoji Temple

702) Kita-Kamakura station. Took a short bus ride (5mins, 170yen) from Kenchoji Temple to Kita-Kamakura station, but I missed by stop (because the station was hidden between 2 buildings so I couldn't really see it until the bus passed by it) so had to walk 1 stop back.
