IF any of you know these 2 fellas in the images above...... please have them email me .... I'll be very happy to give them copies of their images

I understand that about 30-50 plus sets have been sold in Singapore already since last week ..... if any of you are in CS, please feel free to post your images taken with the EX1 here as well :)

Thanks for sharing the info.

This coming PC show Samsung will show case their EX-1. Looking forward to hands on myself that time. :P

Those taken with good light outdoors are nice.. can try to post some for low light @ f1.8? Rather curious to know what iso it can work at with the f1.8;p

pls post photos taken by lx3 & its maker taken at iso 800 under similar lighting. want to see the noise & color. thanks.

I sold my Panasonic LX-3 a few weeks ago and almost immediately I was in regret mode ...............

sorry Dennis..... LX3 not with me

..... I get a feeling that the saturation level should be dialed down -1 ..... maybe even sharpness and RGB levels ........ all these are adjustable in the camera's menu

the 80cm minimum focussing distance is also restrictive......... i have dialed it to Macro focussing which allows focussing from 5cm out

Hi Ed,

I thot you also have a S90 ?
How does it compare ,
If both are put on P / auto mode ?
Thanks

Looks pretty good in my opinion. Anyway, I managed to find that there is seller on eBay selling the samsung ex-1 with extra battery and 8gb sd card for 580. Is the prive supposed to be lower than the current lx3 ?

Someone is selling his Samsung EX1 in Personal Classifieds.

This was quick.......the first (I assume the first of a few more future updates) firmwawre update available EX1 firmware update

Supposed to have something to do with "low chroma effect and system stabilization"

Updated the firmware a few mins ago

Below shot at

AWB
Florescent light
ISO 100
1/30
f3.4
Focussed on the number '16'

On-camera adjustments made in "Image Adjust:"

Just have a look at that red band on the SD card on the 2 pics........ the difference is quite marked considering i just moved Saturation from '0' to '-1'

The reds seem gaudier and a little 'blotchy' in image 26 when everything is set at '0' level ...... seems to be a little color 'bleeding' in image 26 as well...... please advise your opinions too..... I am curious

apologies if this is not very scientific

Saturation +1 looks vibrant...+2 definitely too much...:)

im falling inlove with it.

tfs...;)

Just went down to the pc show to play around with it. It definitely feels a little slower than the panasonic lx3.

Compared to the lx3 the ex1 is a monster in size but it makes it easier to handle than lx3, giving the ex1 a more steady feel and hold.

The screen is great and the pictures taken are pretty good but hard to achieve the nice bokeh. Unless you are pretty close to the subject.
