Anyone tried successfully with a 3rd party external flash ?
 

I tested with my Sunpak Remote Lite which I had for my previous LX3...it works too...:)
 

A Mode :
Maximum Zoom - Max Aperture = 2.4 and Shutter = 1/4 @ EV+2
Normal - Max Aperure = 1.8 and Shutter = 1/6 @ EV+2

S Mode :
Maximum / Normal Zoom - Slowest Shutter = 16 secs Fastest Shutter - 1/1500

M Mode :
Aperture = 1.8
Shutter = 1/10
EV=0

Aperture = 2.3
Shutter = 1/8
EV=0

Aperture = 3.1
Shutter = 1/4
EV=0

Aperture = 5
Shutter = 0.5
EV=0
 

I have replsced by LX5 with EX1 snd never regretted
 

has anyone here tried using an infrared filter on the EX1?
 

cool.. cos i just discovered IR recently and since singapore is so GREEN, perfect for IR photos! may i ask which brand of filter do you use?

I am using the Hoya R72 on the EX-1.

How many seconds to expose this?

Handheld. Exposure time is 0.1s at ISO 800.
The good thing is that the IR image can be seen on the OLED screen live and could be composed normally like normal images.
 

I personally love this cam as well (although there are some aspects to hate too) and use it for IR pretty often.

There are bright spots when stopped down in most situations, but I have found that they can be easily removed in PS if the images are monochrome.

Not the best example below.

wow i'm very interested to explore IR! are there any settings which we have to change in the camera menu or is it simply just attach the filter and tweak shutter speed, exposure etc? sorry i'm a newbie at this!
