Keep low profile.
You will be safe.
I go often.
By the way, the would-be robbers may be Indonesian illegal immigrants or local down-and-outs.
If you think generally most of the JBians or Malaysians are poor and need to rob you of your DSLR, it is time to wake up. You need to see the limousines they are driving in JB nowadays. MLY licence plates, not Sing licence plates.
They are much better off than you and me, no kidding.
Their quality of life is higher. Cost of living much lower.
The worker who takes a motorcycle each day across causeway into Sing to work, goes home each day to JB.
Doubling his income Sing$ to RM. Maybe he rides the bike home to a landed two storey freehold property with two cars in the drive way.
You and me ? ha... don't talk about it.
yah. yah. malaysia is full of camera robbers. thats why the malaysia photo forum is so active. they are all thieves who stole singaporean's dslrs... BS!
just put on a SAF poncho, everything will be cover up, you should be safe.
