actually their PnS is very functional, but the Optio30S that I have is very 'noisy' but it's really light weighted and like i mentioned full of functions
yes, Pentax is seriously under-marketed...my father questioned my choice on why i wanted a Pentax. he proposed Nikon...though he used the film Pentax before... i think we should support OP to get distributorship for Pentax in Singapore...heck, if i can, i may even do a website for them just to advertise pentax here...but Pentax in US is really doing alot of advertising...hopefully it catches on here...by the way, u guys thought of making a PENTAX T-SHIRT???:dunno:
yes stougard, i saw the Pentax ad on the taxis here and just smiled...and thought to myself "what the heck are they trying to say?":dunno:...Pentax marketing is horrible in Singapore.:thumbsd:..i too joined Pentax after being attracted to the Pentax forums in CS...was considering Nikon before...

great idea! I am thinking aloud if you want to get Shriro involved? They can sponsor the annual subscription and support occasional tie ups. We can get the Shriro tech (what's his name?) and a marketing guy to be a regular contributor too. On behalf of shirro, they can give us news updates on what stuff are coming, what are available, or pre-order special stuff etc. They can also answer questions on service queries, etc...

Getting the supplier is easy. its the polo design and minimum order quantity that is the problem. Also, the colour is also an issue. I would think either black (standard) or red (for pentax) would be good but prefer to latter because all my other forum polos are already in black!
:nono: Leave Shriro out. Its nice to have them sponsoring money for operating the website but conflicting interests will tend to arise with this kind of arrangement. Mods may be 'encouraged' to remove not so pleasant posts about Pentax, or issues with certain Pentax products.

We can cross the bridge when we come to it...so far from CS experience, Pentaxians tend to be a pretty level-headed bunch and any criticism is based on facts and not emotions.
I am sure the mods can fine tune the rules and regulations as we move along. Must have some faith in the peasantry, mah....:bsmilie:

well, because the peasantry is cool and level header, we have needed and only have 1 mod (who is presently in Pentax-snapping heaven out of country!).
I just notice the taxi you were talking about at my house car park while I am throwing rubbish.
From my view, I only saw a "PENTAX" word with a few red lines and black background...

yes, leave the sponsoring out of Shriro...those "funny" incidents may just happen...making a shirt is easy mac, but the min quantity and design finalization will be the main issues...i suggest we keep to the colors of it, red words...but plz no white tee(more than 10% of shirt), white is stained easily...for logos...hmmm.....any ideas? shuld we post a new thread to get the ideas? nice going stougard...perhaps our bro familiar with php can help too...let's go guys!

I bought this domain today and will configure the servers to display a temporary web site.
To make this web site, we need a web master able to propose a good design and a good PHP software to make it. We need as well some content, it means the whole Pentax catalog from yesterday to tomorrow, what Pentax has even made and what they will ever make. I guess list of shops of Singapore with stock and pricing will be great idea.
