had a look at the shop today after they printed it out. but, rejected it cos the print came out a little too orangy. the shop folks told me mebbe becos they din reset the printer bet jobs. kudos to them tho, for re-doing the print again without hesitation.
still, i must say the 20x30 from s5pro held up well to close inspection. and, the best comment i got abt s5pro's quality was from a chap in the shop. when he saw the print, he asked wat film i used. enuf said, IMO, abt s5pro's quality. :bsmilie:
initialE24 - i'm using the max res. but, the default DPI is 72. so, u need to go into the menu and change the DPI setting under system setting, IIRC. after dat, i used a FredMiranda Stair Interpolation plugin to upsize the pic. the FM plugin, so far, only works with CS2. it automates the process of upsizing - u can do it in PS under adjusting image size, but at small increments. have fun trying.![]()

I think I have to make something clearer.
I don't know why Fujifim S5Pro has such ugly stupid noise reduction methods. In other words JPEG is virtually unusable if you don't like the forced noise reduction on your photos.Even if you shoot RAW and process it with original Fujifilm apps, it's still the same case.
What program do you recommend to process the RAW files then? CS2?
is there anyplace I can find a side by side comparison for landscape shots between say the S5 Pro and D200 and Canon 5D?
That is all provided you don't shoot JPEG, and use the right program for your RAW.
Er... so what is considered the "right" program? CS not included?
silkypix?

http://www.isl.co.jp/SILKYPIX/english/order/price.html
i've seen it in action over the weekend. i must say the interface is far easier to navigate than LR, IMO.
price is reasonable, compared to a fullblown CS3 or LR - ard $204 for home user license. $38 for additional licenses up to 2 more users. anyone wanna share? ;p
wind30: when do u estimate price will drop to ard $2k? after SEP's IT fair?
