Harvey norman?? i went to the jurong point branch they dun seems to be selling it though, cant find it almost anywhere....hey tats the rainbow i saw after the rain in jurong!! lol...too bad i dun haf any camera wif me darn...

but its a good camera.. you cant expect all cameras to have the hood or whatever.. its up to your personal preference.. if you want something that has the hood, then get that one la.. dont come here and say something negative about the S2000HD...

Sorry about that. Of course I understand that it's solely a personal preference. Anyway a lens hood is an essential protection for our investment. I love my S5000 for that but it's aging...
I just hate the fact that manufacturers always leave some 'defects' in most models so that we always can't get a perfect choice. What's so hard to have a lens hood? By the way, thanks for the previous overwhelming sincere info sharing...

if u want a prosumer with a hood i would suggest a sony H50. it comes with a flower hood..sorry to side track guys...

No lah, I don't need an ugly flower hood. I just want a straight hood and a filter that attached permenantly on my cam for the peace of mind, and the cam looks more pro too. My S5000 has it. My last time Pana FZ1 had it too. Otherwise this S2000HD is my ideal choice. I've read its spec. Just what I want...

Well.. But overall, im quite happy with it.. Hahaa, is the lens hood something like a photo filter?
It's just a piece of plastic round tube that can be attached onto the camera body much like you attach a lens to an SLR. On the open end, you can attach a filter which more importantly acts as a protector for the lens. That means your extended lens will be always inside the hood (plastic casing). Not only secure, nice looking, you may also grab the cam with the round hood. For me, it's a must have for an ultra zoom cam.

of course the right one lol...looks more like a DSLR already..haha..the finepix 2000hd is nt on sale any where i could find, can anybody got any lobang?? the market place does not even have a second hand for sale too...thanks in advance..or maybe i should wait for the up coming IT show

It is...but i luv the supermacro function of this camera...plus minus, it is a userfriendly camera to be carried around!

It's just those small little things people always wanted.. Hahaha, so far im happy with it. How many S2000HD users have we here?
I bought mine at Audio House...I saw a poster for this camera at the Fujifilm photo store also...
