wat's the lens adapter/hood for? Necessary? I read the S2 has no filter thread, so cant put UV filter to protect?

COMEX price is the standard retail price of $949. (include free 256MB SD card, SD card reader and AA size battery charger, should come with 4 AA battries too lah)

But I just went down to Alan Photo at SL and got it at $840, freebies are the same at COMEX.

The Lens Adpater set costs $50 but at the moment I understand there is no stock. It is original Canon. Then you can add the filter otherwise you cannot.
