I think just go down customer service center and queue with your old CANON equipment you wish to trade-in. Last I checked, they only allow Canon cameras for trade in. Anyone here knows if there has been any changes?

Yes, it's the same practice. Any working or non working canon camera will do. I hat trade in my old camera for S95 2 weeks ago.

It is known as Privilege Program something and there is a delicates thread under the Canon too.

I didn't find the info on the canon site; only found it through this forum and so, thanks to the original TS who started that thread.

Don't have to bring anything else liked charger, battery etc. The camera itself will do fine.

No need others, just an old cam. Go to level 4, tell them you need to participate in PPP. They will proceed with that. check the thread.

Maybe that will put pressure for them to keep their price competitive. Isn't it better for consumers?

Hopefully its an early batch issue, and perhaps why the supply was held back just after release. In any case even for DSLR lenses, need to test and check, quality ain't what it used to be, even for "Made in Japan" products. Buyer beware.

after a few mth, PPP price will be more ex then normal shop...

I had bought 600D from PPP, which cost me 1400+ for Kit 2; i bought it during the initial stage. now the price at shop is the same as PPP or even lower i think

folks just call the usual suspects .... mscolor, parisilk, cathay etc... can get for less than $699
also request for topup to upgrade SD card from 8gb to 16gb

I missed your post and came down to do ppp... They said not in their list then wanted to take 600d kit2 but was told no stock... Need to wait 3 weeks... Then walk away first ....

When you said $555 is it you done the ppp for s100 already? Or you just assume it? Very misleading leh... I thought you done it liao thats why never called them before going down....
