#1 & 2, you might want to try the selective colour mode. Then you will have the red at the tip & the rest of it will be B&W. Or you can just edit them to look like that.

#3 Nice use of lighting. Think the shot would not look this good if you had done it in colour.

Like the composition and the square crop for all three.

PS: There are S1, S2 & S3 users here also ;p

Ops sorry about that, I overlooked at the thread tittle.:embrass:

Hey, for pet shots, try to go down low. Your S5IS has a tilt/swivel LCD. Shoot it from the level of the pets head. Will give a different perspective from how we normally see our pets. Try to keep the eyes on focus also.

worth trying unless your dog is like mine... trying to eat anything within reach as long as not sleeping. hahahhaa

My dog normally tries to come over & lick the lens. She really does not like her photos being taken.

My new S5IS, less than 1 month

Hey Bro Raymond,

All your close up is stunningly sharp....

Do you mind sharing what is your set up eg brand of the closeup filter you're using etc

If you're using a closeup filter.... how do you attached it to your S series

Thanks bro. I use Hoya brand, 3-in-1 set (+1,+2 and +4)
To attach filter, or any other add-on lens, you will need to fix an adapter to the camera. You could follow this thread for some info.

wonder shots Ramond, good job! at least u gotta filter for me its only me and my S5(sometimes external flash)

Just check with you guys. Was inspecting a S3 and almost buying a secondhand S3 until I found the LCD having unnatural bluish tint. Is this normal? Suspected that CCD could have been "bleached" by the uv light..the seller said it was like this and funny that he wanted me to check with the shops...I wish I could check the picture quality just to confirm my suspicion...

Thanks emirates. A hoya close-up filter will not cost that much, <S$20 I think (The whole set cost about S$50). You could get 1 first and try it out, its quite fun using it.
