Hi all S5 user....
Trying macro shot with my S5 (1st time) on the Hibiscus, no additional filter or extension tube in use.... Just some PP and square crop done.. C & C most welcome.

#1 & 2, you might want to try the selective colour mode. Then you will have the red at the tip & the rest of it will be B&W. Or you can just edit them to look like that.
#3 Nice use of lighting. Think the shot would not look this good if you had done it in colour.
Like the composition and the square crop for all three.
PS: There are S1, S2 & S3 users here also ;p
Hey, for pet shots, try to go down low. Your S5IS has a tilt/swivel LCD. Shoot it from the level of the pets head. Will give a different perspective from how we normally see our pets. Try to keep the eyes on focus also.
worth trying unless your dog is like mine... trying to eat anything within reach as long as not sleeping. hahahhaa
A few close-up taken recently, all with close-up filter.

Hey Bro Raymond,
All your close up is stunningly sharp....
Do you mind sharing what is your set up eg brand of the closeup filter you're using etc
If you're using a closeup filter.... how do you attached it to your S series

Just check with you guys. Was inspecting a S3 and almost buying a secondhand S3 until I found the LCD having unnatural bluish tint. Is this normal? Suspected that CCD could have been "bleached" by the uv light..the seller said it was like this and funny that he wanted me to check with the shops...I wish I could check the picture quality just to confirm my suspicion...
is this bluish tint slightly purple as well and hidden to the side?
I have a S3 with me and it has reallyservedme very well. Love it for the sharpness for day shooting. However, i can never get it right when comes to taking pic in indoor parties and wedding dinners...well S3 do have its restriction, but anyone know how i can improve? Wondering will a slave flash help for indoor shooting??
Thank you in advance for a the Canon brothers and sisters!!
All opinions and recommendations welcomed!!
wonder shots Ramond, good job! at least u gotta filter for me its only me and my S5(sometimes external flash)
