can i know when taking Macro, how far is your lense to the subject?

I have brought it clsoe enough to have pollen all over my UV filter :bsmilie:

But i find that with the macro lense DCR250, i am only able to focus at 10cm away from the subject.. other than that, more or less, i am not able to focus.. even using manual..

Thus need to get real close to the subject..

Any way to increase the focal length?

For DCR 250, I set the focusing to manual, focus at infinity. Then move back and forth. Then take about 10pics, throw away about 8. My hands are way to shakey, need an external flash.

Its Indian/Malay/Local fusion food. I loved the otak omlette!
