which website allow you to hotlink pictures?

Thanks :)

Side track a bit, but does S3IS have tweakable exposure compensation settings in Manual Mode?
According to:
http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/co...-IS-Digital-Camera-Review/Control-Options.htm

Exposure Compensation +/- 2.0EV in 0.3 steps is available in manual mode.
However, this was not said in the S3IS guide by canon and it seemed like it was unsupported.
After hitting the FUNC key, i am unable to control the Exposure Compensation, it always sets itself automatically. However, when i try in other modes, Exposure Compensation can be set. any one know how to unlock the "auto Exposure Composition"?

In manual mode, it is useless to talk about exposure compensation, since you already have full control over the aperture and shuttle speed. Exposure compensation is meant for Av, Tv modes where the camera will determine the exposure and calculate the corresponding aperture or shuttle speed. Exposure compensation applies here since you tweak the exposure readings.

Yes i use a Raynox DCR250 + onboard flash to take the pics
some of them is taken wif tripod but most of the time is the wind that make it blur
not the insect

Other than Raynox lens, can anyone in the forrum advise whether what other choices do we have as Raynox price are quite ex.

I came across this brand Vitacom, although it written video conversion lens, the shop mentioned can use it for our S3.

Quality of lens not as good as Raynox. Raynox is Made in Japan so quality of the glass is there. Rember this, you get what you pay for.

There ha been threads regarding the Vitacon and Raynox before. Spend a bit more for better quality of your pics. I have a WA from Raynox too. The DCR-6600PRO for my S2 IS.

Really good lens.

Thanks for the info. Cheers:)

hi all, i'm very new here n very new to digital fotography as well. thinking of venturing into it. doing some research n comparisons on gears. pricing for compact zoom prosumer camera seems to be reasonable now.

are the awesome pics in this thread mostly taken with stock lens or upgraded lens? Sorry i realy know the corrrect lingo yet, pardon me, lol. But i do understand after-effects (ala photoshop) can do some good touch-ups to already well-taken shots (like those presented here by experienced folks).

im looking at a good camera with good zoom around the price point of the S3 (and more on the upcoming S5 for that matter). More picky about image sharpness/noise/fuzziness, barrel distortion. I enjoy macro shots of e.g. plants, still or slow moving objects like those insects n iguanas (hahaha) shown here. Also like to zoom in on cool architectural features that we cannot access, e.g. our "spikes" of our "durians" at esplanade, and the capsules of The Flyer at ground level. Night shots ala Hong Kong Island scenery interest me too. With the upcoming F1, i wonder if the S5 or S3 has the features to take good shots of the fast moving F1 cars, not to mention the race would be a night-race!

many thanks for advice :)

One set of photos

Wow....the photos are really very nice...can be used as postcards liao...

The last one, the nite shot you didn't use those cross-filters which can make the lighting look much nicer?
