Well, the only reason why I like FF (in general) is because I find the viewfinder nice and big for the myopic me.![]()
Anyway what we are discussing here is nothing contentious; it is just personal opinion. Such opinion may change in time to come. Every range of camera has its pros and cons; you sacrifice portability for extra depth of field and vice versa. Although I personally own a K5 IIs, Fujifilm S5 Pro and Nex 7, the S5 Pro is still the best for skin tone and many photo studio still use one of this (even the S3 Pro) may be until it runs out of shutter. I keep the S5 Pro as an antique and hardly use it as it is much heavier than the K5 IIs. The Nex 7 is always with me when I travelled. I wish that Pentax can come out one like the latest Ricoh but with changeable lens, this will be wonderful.
basic function of watch is to tell time...with many choices of brands, models, sizes and prices...
huh?? what am I talking?
going back to hibernation...![]()
To each his own![]()
By not releasing a FF dslr Pentax will never be token seriously no matter how good their new products are. Its all about marketing, not so much about how clever you can shoot with your apsc cameras. And i find condescending to be told that FF are not necessary.

I should not have posted this rumour!
Seemed a lot of discussion w deep thoughts from many members. Pentax R&D must be under a lot of stress with the global call for FF by segment of the Pentaxian community.
That's the whole point...![]()
Yeah, so that hobbyists can pretend that they need something they don't need. :bsmilie:
Go marketing! Go consumerism!

Oh, I was talking about "need" from the context of taking pictures. I doubt many hobbyists really need the supposed plus points that a FF offers.bro,
as bro FW puts it:
it's WANT, not need lah.... nobody needs to take any pictures to live - unless he's a professional.
in your words - consumerism! marketing! (sounds dirty) but that's what gets business going, and Pentax-Ricoh is every bit a business concern, they must do something about it.
