If this is true, then nightpiper's roaches are a new strain of mutants... must be the water...

It might be the lizard posting on his computer while he was sleeping? OMG!!! :what:

Not wanting to be out-do by the cockroach & lizard, the Fly On The Wall that juz came back from a world tour with Miley Cyrus told me this: "The killer feature is a built in GPS. Besides geo-tagging of pics, it also allows users to track the moon phase/tide, weather & the position of the sun base on your location. This is to ensure users can get the best quality light everytime". Looks like the leaks Can't Be Tamed!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

So folks, this feature is definitely hi-end. Only serious & pro photographers need apply. :bsmilie:

If the leaked E-5 specs is really for the new 630, i just might get the 630...
Pentax already has an el cheapo weatherproof body anyway.

Very true. It can also be competing directly with the 60D no doubt. Juz price it right

Errr... bro, I think you seriously need to consider pest control for your house for the sake of the kids...
Not only you have pests, but mutant ones who are also gear freaks. That's scary...
Guess what? The roaches r dancing the A-go-gos right now to the music Wipe Out AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! :bsmilie:

12 more days and counting... the new flagship MIGHT be unveiled. Might.
Well, looks like no Oly for my trip liao. Time to Hunt For The Red October

Next you are going to tell me the dust mites are saying that the new NASA/Olympus developed anti-gravity module, IS+ allows the camera to float in the air, totally eliminating any known vibrations!

Wait, what do dust mites know?

The flickr discussion is very much rubbish I thought i've seen everything in this thread until I've read the guy talking about Elf  just to show there are more stranger people out there :bsmilie:

The second from Zone-10 much more fun to read

"Bartender, I'll have whatever he's having." :bsmilie:

I hope that the killer feature is image quality that is unmistakably better than the low-end bodies.

That Pentax K-7 looks better every day, which is about where I started before I bought the E-1 originally. The *ist bodies weren't very good though. Even the K20D had exposure problems, so it's amazing that they got so much right lately. I'm still surprised that Pentax and Olympus didn't merge their camera development.

Someone is finally making sense here, but...

Wah... sounds like a big BBQ ;p

Not for long... people who don't take themselves too seriously are immediately back in action...

"Same here, bartender"...

Yes, Pentax is high on my list these days, while I am greatly impressed by the 645D, but the lack of lenses put me off a little, but in a way, I am already investing into the system. That is the system that I have been waiting for. Once you handled one, you will not forget, and you will keep lusting for it. The Tokyo trip recently poisoned me to the point of no return. If Olympus is not going to the 645 format, Pentax it is. And their DSLR department seems to have picked up on things where Oly has lost fire in... don't know what is happening there... but I am waiting in anticipation for what is coming from P&O.

I believe the person who wrote the Zone 10 article did not dig deep enough into the past few decades of photographic technology. Olympus has always been an innovator, and the trend always goes like this :

Olympus releases new technology.
Other companies laugh at them.
*pause*
Other company pays patent fee to Olympus,
and then implements them BADLY
Wait for Olympus to come up with something new.

TTL Metering, Live View, Swivel Screen for DSLR, Dust Reduction system, etc... so much technology others once laughed, then implement, and screwed up. Olympus will definitely deliver something awesome for the E-5.

For medium format, I'd rather go with Mamiya/Phase One but either is fine for getting better image quality than those high-end 135 format bodies. If I go that way, I suppose I'll have to finally buy a tripod because hand holding the things is just too risky, even though the TTL viewfinder is convenient. (My first photos ever were taken through an upside down viewfinder located on the top of the camera.)

The E-5 will float on water....
