does not sound good. I am indeed considering whether to buy GXR + A12 28mm

The A12 28 is a fantastic walkabout cam. Not exactly small, but smallish enough to go into our office going bags.

My shots with it ... A12 28mm set on Flickr

Bro, i like your coined term of the giants.
No agawads.. not coined by me.. I copied from fellow CSers who used this term for the "giants".

Saw someone selling mount only at $750 a few weeks back. Prices are indeed dropping.
At this price, just keep it and shoot with it. There are times you just need a smaller but equally capable camera with fantastic results. I would say that it's not too far off Xpro1 on the lower ISOs.

I think the dude is selling GXR body + m mount module @ $950... I'm trying to sell mine with VF2 too but no luck... Damn
Try to sell when others are also selling - sure difficult.

Very good lah, if hard to sell, means can bargain alot when you buy lor ;) Only need to worry when you sell, but since buy 2nd hand, won't lose much.

It's really a system. So let's say he buys GXR M, he'll have to consider buying M mount lenses, and they aren't exactly peanuts. For the layman, most will consider auto focus cams and the more mainstream offerings from Canikon. So if I want to buy 1 (even 2nd hand), I will be thinking what I am signing up for.

Those who had the M9 and M8, it's a viable backup in case they have to send their RF cams to solms ... but hey, they may also be using the m3s,m6s,m7s,MP, so this GXR option isn't really a like for like alternative (RF), not the same feel of an RF camera.

So yes, I think after the novelty of owning 1 dies down, there's bound to be sellers there to recoup as much as possible even if it means 950 (from 1.4k?).

Anyone have any idea why is it so hard to sell GXR, m mount away? Someone is going as low as 950$ and it's still not selling...

Agree, & with mirrorless cams like Xpro1, OMD, Nex 7 coming out as strong alternatives choices in small package, and Ricoh being a less recognized brand, it's tough. And it's tougher for the system when it's not coming out with new lenses (except the kit lens zoom more recently)...Personally i still dun subscribe to GXR lensor concept, except M mount, and this is only catering much smaller community like you mentioned. Ricoh is not that well marketed as well, sadly.

LP, actually I prefer it that way ... if well marketed, it just mean that we consumers end up being the ones paying for it somehow. Someone's got to take up the tab somehow.

If it's well marketed can sell easier mah, now, how am I going to sell mine ? :dunno::bsmilie:;p

was considering Panny GX1 + 14mm f2.5 vs Ricoh GXR + 28mm f2.5
there is bigger 2nd market for m4/3 but I always like Ricoh color and GXR handling...

Yup, GXR's handling is probably 2nd to none.

Don't sell lor (kekeke) ... No need to adapt so more unlike a particular brand. This is straight M-mount!

Hi hjbyeo, i just do abit of pp to make it looks like 80's HK movie,
About hard to sell GXR, actually i try to trade my 7D to backup GXR, this camera is so good, comfy, and small

Wong_se, just my humble shots. But tells quite a bit what it's capable of delivering.. I don't think I ever need to sharpen the pictures taken from it.

FF version of the A12-M? really ar? then i gotta wait and start saving...

I would love it if Ricoh comes up with a 35mm sensor module with an appropriate body. It will definitely cure me of my 35mm sensor lust because I have been eyeing going to Nikon for a while, especially if the D600 is as affordable as the rumors claim.

FF is only a dream, not even hear rumors although I dun track rumors. & because of it's lensor design, GXR mount can potentially create a faster FF mirrorless "system" than any other by virtue of m lenses available. Hope dreams come true...:)

Because there are rumors of the A16M Mount

Because there are rumors of the A16M Mount

The only problem is that the A16 would at best offer a performance boost in terms of DR and noise control, but not in terms of "perspective".
