Anyone can help with this?
Turn to S mode and rotate up/down dial (thumbwheel infront of shutter-release button) to set the shutter speed required. You are able to set up to 15s max.
In P mode, rotating the up/down wheel will adjust both the aperture and speed accordingly to suit the scene condition. (2 to 3 secs for f22)
In A mode, camera selects the shutter speed accordingly to yr aperture setting.
Hi,
Thanks for the answer.
But as I stated, even in S mode, I can't set the shutter speed anywhere longer than 1s.
I know in P and A mode the shutter speed is automatically selected. But the same problem here, the camera won't go longer than 1s even if the picture is underexposed.
Could my unit be defective then?

It probably might; but it's better to have it confirm. Have another lens unit (from shop's or friend's) coupled to the camera body and try out the S mode again.
Also do check the firmware of both body and lens are updated, preferably both at 1.29 version.
Hope it helps. Thanks.
(Note: Tried mine with A12/50 at S mode and able to click up to 15 seconds max.)
Thanks, I'll try to go down to the shop and try soon. I doubt it's a firmware problem as I believe they would have fixed such a glaring error by now. I'm currently on 1.19, the version uploaded in July. Will update to 1.29 when I finally stop procrastinating, but looking at the release notes, not much difference for S10 users.
Btw does that mean you use only the A12/50mm unit?
