My first successful posting of image, sheesh!! Thanks to Wonglp.

Taken on Aug 9 2012 with the GXRM + Schachtt Travenar 135mmf3.5. This is a 1962 lens that my uncle had bought for his M3, with the help of my mother. A 50 year old lens that still gives beautiful colours. Shot wide open.

Hmm, from your flickr it's shown to be taken by Canon 550D + EF 100/2.8 :dunno:

Welcome, Ziggy, really glad to see you are posting, more please, great to see such old lenses travel through time and still works well, pardon my ignorance, haven't heard of this one even! I doubt modern lenses can pass the test of time.

No worries, same with me!! I had to google to find out. Apparently you can get one for about SGD200 on eBay. Pretty sharp for an old budget lens. Sez a lot about the GXRM.

Yup, soft lenses just turn out to be sharp on this baby!

Here's a rather soft lens wide open, Jupiter 9 85mm/2 LTM. On the GXR, it's sharper and makes this shot rather 3D, perhaps the difference of no AA filter. I don't get this on other mirrorless, m43 or Nex...

I think my photoshop change the EXIF to my old camera

Female Koel shot on my newly acquired Canon FD 400mm f2.8 mounted on a GXRM and tripod. Shot at f2.8. Slightly soft but still very sharp. MF using the image magnifier to focus. The bird was about 15m away from my balcony.

I think that very soon, the GXR mount could be giving way - this is a 5.4kg lens and moving it around to shoot birds and MF is killing the camera - there is some play on the mount when swiveling to focus!!

More birds come by the tree on rainy days. This restless parakeet had been around but the first time I have seen him perched on the tree.

Shot today from my balcony with GXRM + Canon FD400f2.8 wide open, iso 400.

Any bros here also using a Sony Nex 5R or 6? I am interested to know if the borders are just as as bad OR better than the 5N when using M mount lenses. I thought I should ask this question here as chances of GXR using Nex is higher than vice versa.

No idea... So far Any NEX w adapted lenses seems not to bring out what the lens are capable of, esp wides, despite all the sensor capabilities (from what I seen and played with).

The Ricoh m module is truly unique in this aspect.
