Hmm, was hoping it'd be in 3 digits range, didn't expect it'd reach big four :(

Aiya... Since you'll be off for a trip already, not in time to use this new camera for it, might as well just wait another few months for price to drop.. ;)
Besides, you have a very capable camera right now with you... Hehe!

Thanks. That's true. But buying a camera for us is never for 'need" but for 'want'. ;p I just want to have one during the trip, and probably can bring back some travel photos w/ the new camera.

Anyway, let's see how it goes then.

Yep! True that! Though i always keep myself sane by always telling myself the difference of wants and needs, hence controlling my LBA/CBA! ;P

But anyway, i think the price is fair enough considering MRSP is US$799, conversion = S$1014.
Not too bad compared to the recent price issue for the K5iiS from others countries to ours. Haha!

PS: I'm poisoned too.. But holding out coz ultimately, it is a PnS camera, albeit with a lot better specs. I just love the idea of slipping it into my top shirt pocket, and then dropping and destroying it by bending down to pick up a dropped item.. LOL!!!

It's magnesium alloy body, nonissue if dropped!

dun let down too soon, wait until it is available by early jun.

Yeah, guess so. But still it's gonna be a big disappointment for me if I can get one before my trip :( Won't have as much time to take photos when we come back and life goes back to normal ...

Though there is no image stabilizer, the camera is small enough to handheld at speed of 1/5.

Feng Wei, Take another holiday trip in end-June. Still within School Holidays. So you can get the camera and also use it with your family

Very true! so the question for me is S$390 for the GRD IV, or S$1050 GR? What's your answer?

I also noted this also in some other GR photos posted in Japan websites, any reason technically? The lowest Q cam go hand held sharp is 1/30 Q10 a bit better only.

It's a difficult decision, a new K5 IIs body Japan online is S$1080. To drcide Between GR and K5IIs , even more difficult. Any comment or advise?
