I would get XE1 if budget is not a concern...

But it is a different class...cant compare

You can call Slr revolution, MS color and Alan photo.

I used to have a Nikon D40x ...and this was my first camera until it failed me....

With DSLR, I can capture motion(e.g. kids playing) pretty sharp...but I seem cant do it with a compact camera....

But it has a very good user interface and buttons, scroll wheels for manual operations...

@okl you can try using snap focus distance, or even use hyperfocal, then the camera wont need to take so much time to focus

Mainly to add a dash of color, especially for the black color model ;-)
One other reason I came across was loss/damage of original lens ring.
