As discussed at the last "la Kopi" Wei Chuan aka Baboonish has come out with an alternate design for our shutter release, the concern being that as RFSG, we should be connected somehow to singapore icons. So in this case, the icons chosen are the orchid and an aperture blades. Please note that this is only a design intent sketch and if the consensus of the members is to go in this direction, we will develop it further into something more usable.

Wei Chuan, can I leave it to you to explain your design? I may not be doing your idea justice....:)
 

Thank you Dan for posting it up.. I chose the Orchid as it is a National Icon of Singapore and the aperture diaphragm as it is represents the fundamentals of photography. I had designed it based on our Club name, RFSG.. the aperture diaphragm leaning towards the initials RF and the flowers leaning towards the initial SG.

I think we could further improve the orchid (if valid) to be more simple, currently it looks like, what Kelvin had pointed out, Macro photography..

#5 appeals to me because it spells out Little Red Dot more than the rest. As we all know, the ex-president of Indo B.J. Habibi called us just that. So it highly symbolic. The noir around it ismore pronounced that #1.
