You got your S95 at John 3:16 correct?
erm...ya..
Haha. For some reason I can't dig, J3:16 appears to always favor S95 over LX5. I've heard one staff convincing a buyer to go for S95 instead. Also had a friend who went there and received the same recommendation.

I was in the "S95 or LX5" shoe before. After looking at lots of pictures and eventually seeing Dpreview's comparison review, I decided to go with S95 primarily due to its pocketability.

Anyway, both cams are really good. Just keep on shooting and work on your post processing skills. :)

:Later,

Got 1 from my X'mas gift, nice pns since my last LX3.
Test out some macro shots with it. Straight from the cam & no pp done on the macro shots.

Very Nice Shots......:)

Me still pondering between LX5,S95 or the NX 10

Seen some very nice macro shots from a LX5, good camera!

Hi,

I am Richie. A novice photo enthusiast. And I got the LX5 as a pre-birthday gift from my loving wife.

And this is my take on the Little Wonder light gatherer.

1. Superb pocket cam ( non dslr ).

-Iam used to the Canon mk2 and i must say the LX5 takes some wonderful pictures when you get to know it better.

2. Takes good bokeh for a point and shoot.

- Again not as creamy as my mk2 lens but wow!, it can take drama shots!

3. Clarity is not that great and can use more progress ( 10mp ). But hey, its a tiny cam that you can barely hold. But it holds ground on macro shots.

4. Where it really shines is on macro. It is the best value Macro non pro point and shoot cam that i have ever encountered. Bokeh, bokeh, bokeh!

5. Lots of gadget attachments and accessories for amateur photographers in search to learn photography.

No more talking. Here's the photo's taken from this little wonder ( no pp, zero editing & cropping. All jpeg straight from the pns and all settings at Av ONLY):

Macro Insect ( the insect is as tiny as a small ant )

1/4 Water Filled Glass ( Mixed Poor Lighting Only )

Little Dog Profile (Believe it or not: Totally Pitch black, zero light but used a secret weapon attachment )

Kids Shoes

Again, I am a fan of this pns! Hell, I was surprised on what it can do.

Thanks!!! I'll try to make some photos using that technique. I am having a hard time taking photos of moving objects, though. They tend to be all blurred. I really don't know what to do.
