Thanks!!! I'll try to make some photos using that technique. I am having a hard time taking photos of moving objects, though. They tend to be all blurred. I really don't know what to do.

Watch your shutter speed - if you're taking stuff like the skateboarding u'll need at least 1/250 on the shutter to freeze the action. Use S mode to define ur shutter speed. Bewarned, depending on situation ur ISO might increase resulting in more noise.

Wow, I really stunned by the quality of the photos that the Camera has produced, How much its retail price?

$599 only (no SD card/case) just the body. The best place to buy this camera is in Singapore as I have just checked the price when I was in HK & USA few days ago.

IT show 2011 is coming few more days... wondering will IT show give better price for LX5 or not? :) tempting to get one too :D

Does anyone know if you can shoot at an ISO higher than 400 in 'My Color' mode?

Not sure if it's a limitation or there is a setting which I've set wrongly. I have tried to set iso800 and above in manual mode but once I switch to 'My Color' mode, max ISO is limited to 400. Same thing happens even if I set auto iso.

Thanks

yes, you can.

a) setting the iso mode to i.iso and iso limit set to auto, you will be able to shoot up to iso 1600..

b) if you set iso limit to 3200 in the menu, and iso mode to auto, you will be able to shoot up to iso 3200.

c) alternatively, set a fixed iso (up to iso 12800)

Hi,

I just joined Clubsnap and had my LX 5 for abt 3 mths already. Lately, I noticed when I take pics, while looking thru the LCD when taking pics, there tends to be some streaks of "lights /lines" on the screen. However the pic wil turn out OK.

I sent dwn for svc and enquiry and was adv that this is common for Panasonic camera due to the CCD feature.

Does this happen to u guys too? Pls adv, thnks!

Hi Sugarplum,

This is normal for digital cam especially when you shoot towards the light. It will not affect the photo.

Hi jimtong,

OK, thnks. I am also unsure myself when will I see the streaks on the screen.. just that i noticed it will happen sometimes and I did not take note of the time it happened.

Since this is normal, then i am more relieved liao.

Thks bro!
