The Panasonic Wide Converter - equivalent to 0.75mm, which means from the native 24mm, you get an equivalent of 18mm. Attached via a tube adapter. 52mm threads.
Great for tight spaces and when you simply can't move back!
So far I've not seen and CA affecting the image not have I seen a perceptible IQ drop.
Check out the license plate right in the corner of the 2nd shot!

Was on macro mode. AF. Then I just adjusted the contrast on my computer. =)

LX5 not using focal plane-type shutters, if i m not wrong, it uses combination of the mechanical in-lens shutter and the electronic switching of the sensor.

if those r 100% crop, it is very good liao, wait till u see those stupid digi-king, vita-con etc. now those u really see IQ drop.
like my oly 0.7x wcon, i see flare. really looking forward to playing with the pana wcon later.
also, can pls post 100% crop of the grey merc (with the plate no.) in the corner?

I remember you leading the campaign against the LX5 in favor of the EX1, Kent. Have you been able to compare the two, thus the change of heart? Would appreciate some point comparisons and maybe photos as well.

I won't be advice on the price of LX5 plus accessories as they are by dealers, however, with the accessories added, probably around the cost of an entry level DSLR body plus minus kit lens, probably. Having say that, kit lens doesn't have wide angle anyways. Viewfinder is the same of that of GF1 for the electronic version, and the same as LX3 for optical.
If pocketable is the purpose, then the additional accessories would have to be in another bag I guess? Any camera with add ons means it's not very much pocketable anyways?
LX5 is made in Japan, so is GF1 and GH1. Only G2 and G10 is made in China.

Prior to which is the Marina Bay area in front of Marina Square.
