roygoh said:Just to clarify, are you referring to post count instead of thread count?
 yep! y not put the post count under member's profile section instead of under the avatar. those who are interested in checking up the post count of a user can always find out at the profile section.ortega said:yes remove the post count, if the information is still needed it should still be in the User CP and not under the avatar.

Terence said:As far as trading is concerned, I don't find post counts a useful indication on the reliability of the seller, a more useful tool would be the new iTrader system. I hope that would evolve into a more precise indication of the seller as feedback can only be collected after a while. But as it is right now, the feedback system is still vulnerable to abuse. A user can register different nicks and use them to add to his own feedback.
I'm also for the removal of post counts, I don't see the count serving any useful purpose other than ballooning the ego of some folks who seem to thrive on increasing their count.

I feel this one is more tactful.
Belle&Sebastain said:i feel thread count to not aid into anything helpful and i feel lots of unwanted bandwidth/ clutter can be removed when thread count is not recorded.![]()
Tetrode said:Yes, me too and I agree with your reasoning too. And we all know whom you are talking about.
Terence said:You shouldn't presume to know that I'm referring to any actual user. My remark was not made towards anyone in particular.
Wai said:hmm..if want to save space and bandwidth
then should remove the avatar and singature first, cos these definitely take up more bandwidth and database access than the 4 digits post count.
Darren said:Just a note to say that we are aware of this thread, and removal (or rather, not displaying) of the post count can be done, and if necessary, members can check on another persons posts from their member profile.
We will see if we can change this for the next iteration of software update (due real soon now) but understand that this might be low on the priority list for amendments as we have other more "interesting" changes to do.![]()
