Release of Nikon D60

I saw D60 at Max Photo in CentrePoint.

D60 with 18-55 VR lens @ 1080
D40x with 18-55mm lens @ 980

still lost in which camera to get ...

I brought my D40x with 18-55mm VR kit lens at Cathay photo today. It cost 935 without the memory card.
At John 3:16 they quote me for D40x kit (without VR) is ard 850 if i remember correctly so the difference between D40x and D60 is around 100+. To me the difference between D40x and D60 is not that great to make me get D60.

care to elaborate more on why D40x is more worthwhile than D60? i suppose the $100+ is for dust reduction, vr in lens & Expeed processing.

You sure the difference between new model and VR lens is just $100? If that's so, shouldn't your choice be OBVIOUS?

Anyway any comments on Max photo ... i did not ask abt the warranty

I think there's an option for the VR kit lens at an extra price. But the sales told me that don't really need the VR at short distances. So can save up the money and get more accessories such as flash or an extra lens.

D40x also got VR kit lens. The 1 I brought is with VR.
As for D60 and D40x I feels the improvement is not that much compare to D40x. I am new to DSLR so I also cannot elaborate more. maybe someone with better knowledge can elaborate more?
