Recommendations for camera backpack

hmm most importantly one must decide what they want to use their bags to contain.

i got myself a digital holter 50 v2, just cause most of the time i'll only be carrying around my 70-200L 2.8 and a 50mm / 100mm
if i need even more space i pair it with the change up as a belt carrier. kind of like the feeling, but if you're not into shoulder bags you wont like it.

get a think thank...
have a shapeshifter and retrospective 20...
build quality is very good, never regretted getting one. :)

i do agree with thinktank for anything out of a backpack. lowepro is if you have alot of other stuff u wanna store in the same bag besides camera related stuff. my two cents =X

Actually I always found most Lowepro bags overcushioned and too bulky for my liking. :(

Found it too soft i guess. Didn't feel like it gave much protection

I find Lowepros just nice. What I don't like about them is almost everyone has one. And the backpack straps are too thin. I'd already have a Flipside 400 and a Fastpack if it wasn't for that.

Wait till u see vanguard bags......

If you bike a lot, I recommend the Lowepro Photo Sport. I got the 200 and it fits my E-PL1 + 1 extra lens, water bag and other stuff. Best thing is that the bag is pretty light and low profile which is very nice while cycling or biking.

Hi,

Where and how much u got this. I'm looking for it. Thanks in advance

Using a thinktank shapeshifter and retrospective 30. Serve me well for travel and most shooting occasions. :)

Somehow I'm under the impression that it isn't since the straps are too thin. Just an observation.

sorry TS, i hope to ask another question regarding a backpack to everybody here, hope to get some feedback. i'm lookin for a backpack, price range $100 - $200. able to hold a tripod, canon 40D with 28mm attached, a 135mm lens, ext. flash. most of the bags mention here comes with a compartment for laptop, which i dun need. beside KATA, Think Tank, Vanguard, lowepro, crumpler (too bulky n heavy for my liking)... is there any other brands worth checking out? thank you for your valuable suggestion.
sorry again TS for hijacking ur tread.

No new brand but you can check out Thinktank streetwalker pro if you don't need the laptop compartment.

Thinktank streetwalker also has no laptop compartment. Been using mine for 2 years and it's as comfortable as ever. Padding still good too.

can elaborate more?

The back portion of the bag is thin, no padding. It's v flat. U will just feel a flat piece of cardboard pressing your back
