Dear Moderators,

What's going on. First, I PM club admin, Darren about how to sign up. No reply.

I took the initiative to sign up subscription yesterday & paid 3 months.

Today I get an infraction to sign up as Advertiser from "Octarine" which I replied I've done so. Got reply saying it'll be reversed. Next min, I reposted and now all my other post is removed without notice?

Others like "Far far away", "caszlyn", "Adamdewilde" don't even have to sign up for any subscriptions yet can post by the hundreds? What's going on?

Here, I abide by forum rules yet get all the inconvenience yet others pay nothing but allowed to post freely?

BnS postings are only meant for personal items. As an advertiser you should be listing in Mass Sales section.

The other traders you listed are being dealt with as we speak.

I would gladly abide by forum rules and have no intention in making enemies be it the mentioned nicks above nor moderators. Willingness to sign up with paid subscription as Advertiser resulted in me being booted to post only in Mass Sales section whereby there's almost no audience except for low priced accessories.

If the BnS are really meant for personal items, why the assumption that since I have a couple items(5-6) for sale and its therefore I am a trader?

Secondly, some individuals who literally has much more stuff to sell, posting every other day over time probably totaling 50 to hundred didn't catch any of you moderator's attention? Turning a blind eye to such activities is obvious isn't it.

If some of you moderators are so efficient in culling a mere thread of posting 5 items within 1 day, surely you wouldn't have missed the above that runs into tens of threads over months.

Please be fair to all in the forum community.

Mods do not sit here 24x7 monitoring all BnS threads. We are not paid, we are all volunteers. Most of the time we act when other members highlight the issue to us via "Report Post" function. Your threads came into view because it is reported by others. If you notice other traders listing their items in BnS, you are welcome to inform us via "Report Post" function as well.

These are the rules in ClubSNAP. Advertisers are allowed to sell their wares in Mass Sales or virtual shops depending on the package they selected. Personal Classifieds BnS is meant for sales on a personal level. The rules are stated there clearly for all to see.

If you feel that mass sales is not something you want to post in and your needs are not met, please feel free to drop Admins Simon, Darren or Edmund a note and work out some sort of refund. Other advertisers have been successful in mass sales threads (eg technogadgets), so saying mass sales section is not effective is not valid. It comes down to your ability or willingless to make it work. But know this, we will not allow any trader ads on BnS ever.

We are being fair, to all members, to all advertisers. What you are asking is to be more "fair" to you than others. Other advertisers do not post in BnS threads, why should we allow you to do so? We will make no exceptions especially where the rules are clearly laid out and you choose not to read them, or ignore them.

While I view the forum pretty often and can't help noticing other 'traders' hiding under personal accounts. Although I too do not take the "Report Post" function as my clicking hobby, I did reported once only & that occasion it was listed blatantly "BNIB" yet, mods obviously ignored such report. Hence, the thread remained.

And please, I disagree that I am seeking more "fair" treatment. I am regarded as "Advertiser" just because I signed up a subscription after receiving an infraction from your colleague, "nightwolf75" Other traders who have continued to post freely on personal BnS hiding under "member" status are therefore allowed to continue? Look at their post history, they're self explanatory. To highlight a few, the mentioned nicks are obvious isn't it yet what has been dealt with?

CS is an excellent platform for most photo buffs to sell or buy photo equipment or exchange ideas or tips. Some people flout the Rules you so clearly posted links to and sarcastically implied that I elected to ignore. While the mods simply ignored legitimate report post of such.

And yes, I will PM CS admin to work out a refund since this kind of double standard treatment exacted to me.

We have been banning traders as much as we can, when we see it. There will be some that slip past the cracks. You can continue to think what you want. Signing up as advertiser gives you the ability to post sales in the appropriate subsections only. It is not a passport to do what you wish. And you being and advertiser doesn't make you so special that we have to bend our SOP and rules for you.

May I know on what basis are you calling me an "Advertiser"? Did it ever occurred to you that some people do have a lot of personal un-needed gears to sell?

Look, I did not call you an "Advertiser" Its the mods who used that term on me after I was told to sign up as "Advetiser" Yes, I know you have lots of stuffs to sell, so do many others on the forum. Be it you're a trader doing business or really your "un-needed personal gears" it really not my concern.

I merely questioned the moderators who allow many others to post even at such unlikely quantity/frequency of stuffs without inviting any infraction nor asked to sign up as "Advertiser" while I had a mere 5 threads & was accused of being a trader just because I complied with their request.

My point in mentioning you among a few others were to the mods, why such individuals can post many while I posted less than 5-6 threads & all removed. So on what basis are the mods calling me a trader? Get it?

Unfortunately, for me they intentionally evaded my direct questions and started getting defensive about this.Claiming that I am asking to be granted exceptions to post in certain section. My point was why are others like you are allowed with so many postings yet benefit of the doubt accorded to you while I had single digit number of posts and the started warning me?

If like you said, you have many personal un-needed gears to offload, why can't I have a few? Some kind of personal vendetta against me ?

You have a status as "Senior member" so surely you have been in the forum community long enough to know its never a level playing field. But to you, it happens to be in your favour but not so for me. That's all

I am a "Senior Member" now is because I have been a contributing member since 2008. Even though I have contributed far lesser now compared to before due to work commitments, it still does not negate the fact that I has been an active contributor who understand the rules and guidelines set by the mods for all these years. The playing field is level if you play by the rules set by the Mods. They are all working adults with jobs and do not camp here full time. A certain amount of leeway and respect is accorded to them as they are doing this not for profit but for the greater good of the local photography community.

For your further information, being a "Senior Member" do not have any privileges. I received a warning email as well from the Mods and had 2 years worth of threads and posts deleted without doing anything wrong and this is all thanks to your baseless allegations.

I am just a crazy person who brought too many cameras in past twenty + years, more than thousand of body and lenses, but most are old cameras, as you can see all the items I listed was old film cameras, and selling at below average cost to benefit the member here. I used to have an office to display all my collection, I moved out few months ago and I don't have space to keep all this collection any more, if Clubsnap think that selling too many personal collection on your website is not allowed, please let me know and I will stop listing it again.
