... in end up they will ask NSF guys to fill up blank seats.

That is true
They don't care about little people like us
They just want to make money:(
Why should we care about YOG ? :dunno:

Glad to heard you are OK :D

Should always carry your compact camera with you so that you can snap pictures of traffic offenders :)

A friend of mine have a traffic accident 2 years ago (another car hit him from behind at traffic light junction when the light is red ). He use camera to snap pictures as evidences. Luckily he take pictures. The Malaysian driver promise to pay for damages but later ignore his phone call. My friend SMS him and threaten to go to court because he have already file a police report. The Malaysian driver later agree to pay up.

YOG is just an event to show-off that S'pore can host such "world class" events.
Bcos of YOG, I have 1 wk lesser of sch holidays. :(

The Straits Times said 80,000 tickets bought by MOE :(
I guess that is where the "free" tickets comes from -> tax payer money :(

If the gov want foreigners money, they should actively selling the tickets oversea :(

darned !!!! my wife almost got into an accident because of those stupid olympic rings on the road!!!

At her height and in the rain, looking at that painted symbol, it looked like a stack of white wires..... she swerved one side to avoid it and almost hit another car on the other lane

That's bad...... :(

Does the gov make money from the YOG..? or only the retailers benefit from better business?

For the Olympics, the organisers can make a lot of money selling the tickets overseas rite..

If SG only sell tickets within SG.. and somemore to stat board.. that's very very bad investment.....

There was no last host, SG is the first host. And yes hosting the WCG would get more attention. Unfortunately video gaming is under appreciated and seen by many as a complete waste of time. Well, it is only a waste of time in SG because there are not enough funds allocated to it, not because we have a lack of talent. It's a shame how most people don't see this.

Reading books is a valid hobby but video gaming is not. That's how people see it, isn't it? It's sad. We have much more potential in gaming than football, if you're talking about local talent. Speaking of which, how many locals are in the SG team (and not bench warmers)?

wah... like that also can blame the rings...

blame the colour of the paint, blame the rain, blame the other car, blame the road and blame your wife's height...

just tell your wife to slow down.
