RAYQUAL manufactures adapters for Sony NEX

wonder if anyone can confirm if the auto magnification to assist MF is deactiaveted when using an adaptor with non E-mount lenses? It's a great feature that helps very much with the focussing in my view.
Thanks!

I've mount the Nex5 into 3 different lenses using original adaptor

70-200G
85mmf14
24-70cz

All MF assist is able to work

Hope this clarifies

Thanks! Can i ask how the MF Assist is activated? Does it pop up when u turn the focussing ring?

Just a check, these will only be physical couplers right? IE, no data passed through from LENS <-> BODY.

One quick question, using the 24-70, on the wide side, is the corner really soft like the kits lens or it do make a hugh different?

So far i've just mounted it for fun (Borrowed those lenses) and try a few shots to test its bokeh, didn't test on landscape yet.

But i'll be getting back the lenses for a 2nd round of fun this week. Hehe will load the photos for all you to gauge

Wonder if Voigtlander will release an adapter. I think my silver 35/2.5 Leica thread mount lens would be a perfect match for the nex. But also dunno if there is a way to zoom the focus box when not using electronically coupled lenses, don't currently see the option in the menu?

Check this out, Kipon Contax G -> NEX adaptor:

Manual focusing should be easier than mFT as the focusing ring is further away from camera body due to the protruding mount ring on the NEX.

I was using the 90mm on mFT not NEX. Focus accuracy is solely dependent on the magnified live view image.

Who sells Kipon in Singapore ?

As for manual focusing, MFT is better to focus and compose than Leica M RF, IMHO, or Canon EOS. All because of the Olympus EVF, or EVFs on the G1/GH1. Hope Sony comes out with an EVF or a NEX body with EVF soon. Less sharpness than the GF1/E-PL1 or Leica M due to the AAF (at least for this current NEX series), but crop factor makes it easier for creative dof than MFT, and seemingly better high ISO (after 1600). Another alternative small body for using mf lenses. Should be fun times ahead ...

But just realized there are adapters too for other lenses on a Leica M while visiting a shop, didn't know about this earlier. Lens interchangeability among camera mounts is getting more versatile these days ...

I got mine from eBay. With other lens, the cheaper adaptors work well. But with Contax G which are AF lenses, I like only the big wheel Kipon.

Hmm how do you adjust aperture with the Canon mount adapter?
