Hmm how do you adjust aperture with the Canon mount adapter?

it will only shoot at maximum aperture. A trick to set it at a different aperture is to hold down the DOF preview button, on a Canon EOS body, while removing the lens at the same time - use at your own risk.

Help. I am using nex5 with LA-EA1 adapter. Why can't I focus when I mount my sony dslr kit lens to the adapter? have tamron and sigma too.

The AF function is disabled on LA-EA1 adapter. However, u can focus using MF assist using the live preview of 7mg or 14mg

NEX 5 uses a powerful Focus Magnifier to aid Manual Focusing, helpful when using A-mount lenses.

I may either get the Voigtlander M-to-NEX or F-to-NEX adapters. I have lenses from both mounts which still have aperture rings so I guess I will be able to use them easily.

I think only the novoflex ones have aperture control for the newer lenses right?

There's no auto focus when you use adapters.
