hi,
I got a Tamron AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD Macro.

Would you be able to recommend a Raynox that suits this .

New to macro

Hi nitevortex,

Suggest you use the DCR-150 or CM-2000A since you are new to macro. Please see links below:

will the DCR-150 work with my 17-200mm Tamron lens too ?

hi jim...

how much is a raynox 250 now with a step up/down??... my lens is a sigma 150mm... 72mm thread size.. :)... thanks!

Hi Sir, I am looking for a good wide angle converter that's not too pricey for my Oly 14-42 kit lens. Could you recommend me anything? The thread size is 58mm, and most of the Raynox products appear to go up to 55mm. I'm reluctant to get a step up ring, unless it's necessary.

Thank you!

Hi farbird,

DCR-250 is compatible with your 70-300 lens. By attaching it to the front of the lens, you can shoot macro but the focusing distance will be reduced from 30cm to around 11cm.

You can also reach macro ratio of 1:1 when you zoom above 150mm.

Feel free to call us if you have any doubt.

Cheers!

Hi,

I am also a newbie in Macro and has recently purchased a canon 100mm f/2.8. I have also been advised by a few seasones macroites that having a raynox would perk up the performance further and I also think the same way. What would be the price of the DSC 250? Also suggesf I use it with my canon 18-200mm IS?

Hi neetsdeindie,

Price details of DCR-250 are as below:
http://www.mcgill.com.sg/shop/produ...d=121&osCsid=a12e2cdddca1d864a7182030500a533b

Yes, it is compatible with Canon 18-200mm IS, no vignetting after 100mm.

Thanks!

Also tell me about the new 5320 system please.

Hi neetsdeindie,

DCR-5320 is very popular with bigger lenses with diameters like 72 or 77mm. Also matches well with pro or semi-pro videocameras. But total magnification is only 2+3=5 diopter. DCR-250 has 8 diopter.

See details below:
http://www.mcgill.com.sg/shop/produ...id=96&osCsid=a12e2cdddca1d864a7182030500a533b

Thanks!

What is the advantage for having DCR-250 combo with Canon 100mm f2.8L lens?

Hi Jacobs,

It will reveal more details of the object at a higher magnification, but may be more difficult to shoot due to stability issue, if without a tripod.

Cheers.
