Yes, the MSN-505@$210nett, which is 32% more powerful than the MSN-202!

Not for the faint-hearted though. :P

Hi All,

Due to customer feedback, we are offering the DCR-150 Super Macro Lens with immediate effect. It comes with an adapter ring so that you can combine DCR-150 with DCR-250 in future if needed. The name of the package is known as DCR-150 Upgrade Kit.

Certainly easier to use than its sister model DCR-250, though the magnification is about 60% of the latter only.

See details below:

Hi dandeana,

What you are looking for is not macro lenses, but telephoto lenses.

For telephoto shots, it is better to get telescopes to connect to your DSLR camera body instead of using teleconverter lenses. These are getting affordable now and you can get a good one at less than S$1,000.

When you are not attaching the telescope to your camera, you may use it for birdwatching or general observation, unlike a normal DSLR telephoto lens which is useless if not mounted to a camera.

An example is below:

Hi Jim

Thanks for your reply. Sorry I meant to say is there anything like a telephoto conversion lens for my 18-200mm nikkor lens so that i can achieve like 18x zoom or something like your DCR-1540PRO which is meant for canon.

Thanks

Hi zanpak,

You can consider DCR-2025PRO which gives you 2.2x zoom. Some people like it, some people don't, when combined with your lens.

I suggest you get a prosumer digital camera which has 12x or 18x optical zoom and combine with the DCR-2025PRO as your existing setup is not popular for using with teleconverters.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

Hi inspire78,

You get exactly the same parts, only the packaging is different.

Right now CM-2000A is out of stock. IF you get the alternative setup, we shall offer you same price at S$250nett.

Please call us at 6389-1734 if you are still keen.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

Hi Gill,
thanks for the explanation.. can it also be used for sports events as well?

btw, I have also a Tokina lens 80-200 f2.8 which I was thinking of using it for sports events like F1.. However, can advise how can i further enhance this lens to achieve longer zoom to capture more closed-up spots like the driver, etc? is there any recommendation?

Hi dandeana,

The most popular method in the USA now is to attach a professional telescope to your DSLR camera body. Use it as a manual lens. It gives you ED/APO quality at about $900 with a focal length of 500mm-800mm (depending on the model), so it seems a better deal than getting teleconverters around $400.

For your Tokina lens, even if you manage to add a teleconverter, the image quality will most likely be compromised as it is not made to function in this way.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

Hi Gill,
many thanks.. ok, I'll get the the one which you've recommended.. Can I check how do I proceed from here? Can advise? =)

Hi Jim,

I would like to express interest in the DCR 250. However, I would also like to find out if you can provide anything for me to attach onto my Canon EF-S 18-200 mm for macro shots.

Yes, newtocanon, we have a Raynox adapter ring which can connect either DCR-250 or DCR-150 to your lens.

Please call our hotline 6389-1734 if you are keen to collect soon.

Hi Jim,

Do you have a wide angle plus macro conversion lens that would fit on a tamron 70-300mm lens?

Thanks!
