Hi Jim

I am looking for a wide angle len for my Panasonic GS400, thread size 43mm. Would HD-6600PRO be suitable for my model and which particular thread size does it come in and how much ?

Will this len cause serious vignetting problem at wide ?

Thanks.

Hi sneakyho,

Thanks for your query!

Yes, the HD-6600PRO-43 model should be useful for your GS400. As the name implies, it has thread size of 43mm. Price is $220nett only.

There should be no vignetting if you take out the UV filter on your videocam.

No stock. Has to place order if you still keen.

Thanks!

Jim, McGill.

Hi cruzkid14,

Many thanks for your query!

The CM-2000A will give you brighter images, 35% brighter than the CM-3500A due to its bigger diameter and possibly allow you to use with lower f-stops.

CM-3500A will give you higher magnification if that's what you want but there's higher degree of difficulty.

You can also connect CM-2000A to other accessories like filters or McGill MCLS-1 ring light tube for better macro shots. The CM-3500A lenses cannot be mounted to any other accessory and have to be used independently.

For details, please visit our revamped CM-2000A product page:
http://www.mcgill.com.sg/shop/produ...d=102&osCsid=7213f43ddc0f03124ca1a6d8d6678374

With a 60mm macro, you can't get too high magnification anyway. So maybe you can focus on bringing out the details, in this case the CM-2000A should be capable of handling.

Thanks!

Hi James,

Thanks for your keen observation...

Oops apparently I saw somewhere that the Sigma 180mm Macro had 67mm filter diameter.:dunno: Eyes not functioning well, maybe next time have to add on the DCR-250 in front of my eye first so that I can see clearly!

In this case, the DCR-5320PRO is definitely suitable for the Sigma180 as it has 72mm threads too:

Hi,

We have Canon S3 58mm black metal adapter, in-house brand, not Raynox, only $40 promo price.

Please go this link to purchase and put inside the comments box that you are only ordering the 58mm type, not the 52mm Raynox type:
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI...MESE:IT&viewitem=&item=250109225273&rd=1&rd=1

After that, contact me at 9108-1059 to collect or add another $2 for home delivery.

Thanks!

Jim, McGill.

what is the difference between the 52 and 58mm adaptors? especially in terms of if/when i get other add-ons? Was looking at the other raynox items u have, are they only 52mm?

I currently have some filters from my old camera, 58mm.

Hi blizzy,

No difference.

If you have many 58mm accessories, then I suggest you get the 58mm adapter.

For use with Raynox lenses, if you are getting the DCR-1540PRO 1.54x tele, then need to get extra step-down ring from 58-52mm.

For macro lens, it's ok if you get 52mm or 58mm.

For wide angle lens, you can consider the HD-7000PRO which is 58mm thread. It has turned out to be a great bargain for those G7 and videocam users who got it from us recently!

Or if you are getting the DCR-6600PRO, then need to get a 58-52mm stepdown but it may give you vignetting. So better to get a 52mm adapter instead in this case.

Hope you're clearer now.

Please purchase direct at our eBay store if you like to empower your S3 now!

Cheers,
Jim, McGill.
