get the glue type and place them at your prefer place (to minimise alergy effect and reach of child) with a bait if you can't find those cage in "ah huat" hardware store.

In singapore, can we ask the help of town council cleaner to dispose the "glued" rat?

Once a rat gets into the house its really difficult to get it out. Try to move your bookshelves etc... it could be living behind it. Tell-tale signs are the smelly rat droppings. Ikea furniture, especially their soft pinewood can be easily eaten by rats to create a pathway.

Cats r the only real deterrent. If u can adopt a stray cat, that wld be best. U can cut some of the cat's fur and sprinkle some at suspected hideouts. The smell of vinegar is also a deterrent. Soak some of it onto a cloth and drop it at hard-to-reach corners. Cats hate the smell of cats and vinegar.

Yeah the 'glue' approach can be very effective, as long as you plant them along the rodent's usual route. I've been using them to get rid of rats, big and small but all these while I never look forward to discarding the trap with the stuck rodent ... it's always a hair-raising experience! :sweat:

Yes and No. The no part reachme2003 has already replied.

The yes part is dependant on your town council/property management. Some town councils/property management have this thing call bulky removal service which is not free and you have to pay a certain sum of $$ to remove the glued rat.

A cheaper way would be just puting the glued rat in a dark coloured plastic bag, double it, seal it and throw it away into dustbin.

Yeah ... what I did was to apply rat glue on a board and lay it across the path which I think it'll take before I go to sleep. Usually by the time I wake up, I'll see the bugger stuck to the glue and then yucky removal process begins ...
