Quick review of Sirui N-1204 carbon-fibre travel tripod

But what do u think of the g20 after u tried it?

But what do u think of the g20 after u tried it?

a bit bigger than the g-10. functionally the same, just dat it can take more weight. depending on ur camera setup, just choose accordingly bah...

for me, i chose neither and stuck with my benro KS-1 cos i like the bigger tripod plate.

I saw this short little strap on the photo with the shorter central column...
what is it used for?

wow...!! nice and very informative review. i was almost set on getting a GT0531 from CP. I think ill get this instead ;)

one question though.. How's the stability when compared to the counterpart GT1541T?

never used a gitzo before. but now that i changed the ballhead to a benro, seems more secure for me, for wat its worth. :)

next time we meet, remind me to bring my gitzo along for a side by side test

u mean the manfrotto carbon fibre tripod? you get wat you paid for, as i've mentioned earlier. the sirui does compare well with the manfrotto tho. just dat certain users might find sirui not as well-made as the manfrotto.

other than dat, i am happy with sirui becos it fits my needs at a very reasonable price. :)

yea i agree with u..its compared well with manfrotto..they only thing i like about this tripod is the weight is very light..and its all in one..
anyway..what do u think??should i get manfrotto CF or wait for sirui..price different about 100...sirui still cheaper and more option...:P

i dun have any experience with benro tripods. so far, i'm only using their ballhead. but from my quick test at TK, i like the way sirui's legs deploy faster than benro. benro's leg deployment speed is something like gitzo - u know... that little resistence in slowing the leg down from popping out too fast? personally i never like it. but some people need it to prevent accidental deployment, i guess.

depends on how urgent is your need, i guess. oh yah. the version that i have now? one of the legs can be transformed into a monopod. so, it's 2 for the price of 1. ;p

alright cool. i know wad u mean by the reluctance of the instant sliding out of the legs. probably bring my set up n test it out.

onli tk carries sirui? orient photo?

so far, according to CS intel, yah. TK and Orient Photo. ;p

one more was john316..
but they sell it exp..really2 exp than current market..
anyway just decide to buy manfrotto 190CXpro..
met some one at shop and did try to mount nikon d3 with 80 - 200..no shake..really2 steady..
some more promotion price...:P
but overall i like sirui also..just that i hv got no chance to buy it...

those who want to get the sirui stuff, friday new stocks are coming into TK, including all the carbon fibre tripods. :)

I had tried my hands on the CF tripods and I am impressed  I used to own the Gitzo GT1541 and had tried Benro ones. IMO, it is better than Benro and almost comparable to Gitzo. I am definitely getting one
