nay, going to do research in the observatory in North Pole. Purely theoretical physics stuff doing some dark matters theory. Will be there for 3 months before going to anr observatory in Ireland.

you sure it coming ? I had a talk to the aunty at CP, she said something like "there were some people ordering 30 cans, but also CANNOT !!" (I assume that refers to us)

the reason given was the order had to be 45 cans. 45 cans is a must, else they won't bring it in, and they also won't want to keep any for themselves.

Can this be the reason for the "delay...till they get enough order of 45 cans"?

to ruey and the rest,
I talked to Michael today, still saying that they have ordered the film, but Fuji Singapore/Japan cannot give a definite delivery date.

So unless they are bullshitting me to the nth degree, I will have to give CP the benefit of doubt and trust that they have ordered and the film will eventually come in.

What is the arrangement with CP. Pure trust that we will honour the committment to take up xx rolls. Did they ask for deposit ? If they did not and no one is acting as collatoral then chances as that CP may not have ordered. When I talked to Fuji they can give very definite delivery frame. Suggest you ask the hard question = do you need a deposit first ?

Just received a hotline call from Cathay Photo -

The Provia 400F Bulk Film is IN!!

... finally after 3 long months of waiting. The price is $140/can (GST inclusive; all modes of payment incl. credit card, cash, NETs).

We are not going to do MO for this (unless someone can fork out S$4200 :what: to buy the film on behalf of ClubSNAP) ... anyone? anyone? .... Unfortunately, this means that its first come, first served at Cathay. Fortunately, Cathay ordered 42 cans, so there should be enough for everyone.

Therefore, head on down to Cathay Photo and tell them that you are a member of ClubSNAP and you are here for the bulk film (ask for Michael).

For the record, we have 30 cans on order from ClubSNAP from the following people:-
