I'll tell the family to have a "No SLR, No long lens" rule for the banquet.

Seriously, I wouldn't mind someone else shooting as long as they don't get into my way, spoil my shots by suddenly coming into frame, etc.

Regards
CK

That's why I always insist that my clients limit themselves to only 1 more photographer. I wouldn't want to run the risk of having an extra head poping into my viewfinder suddenly. As wedding photographer, we have a reputation to keep. And if that extra ruined a few of my critical photos, no matter how I explain to my clients, they just won't be able to accept it.

It is _very_ common for photographers and ENG videographers to feel a certain sense of competition especially in a Gig.

Many a times, I have seen wedding photographer and professional videographer having conflicts in a wedding event. The main problem is always over the tunfsten lighting on the videocam and the taking of "best angle" position.

Oh I know that feeling. It can be kinda irksome for awhile but if both parties exercise mutual consideration then its still alright. Yet no choice cos both the photographer & the videographer are being paid to do their job

It is _very_ common for photographers and ENG videographers to feel a certain sense of competition especially in a Gig.

However, there are photographers who are co-operative. Sometimes, they do talk and try to cover different angles.

In some joint official launch, be it public transport system, JVs or product launch, both parties might engage a photograher to cover the event.

Often, I do appear at such Gigs to shoot/cover unpaid and many a times, budding photographers will just ask 'Oh, who are you shooting for?'

And we go through the programme and see if we can lighten our load by covering different aspect, althought we have our own priorities.

And yes, we do share our pictures even for different set of clients.

Many photograhers for this event!
