i thought it's $1800+? :o

which shop is selling at $1650?

That was the last price that I know of. I can't even remember how long ago that was.

Well, the HK price for the predecessor certainly does look very attractive...

Just hoot the 28-300 VRII from Sam ... abit surprised by the built and weight. So far so shiok :)

I am very glad the price not very far off from the 18-200 VR also.

does anyone notice a very big different between VRI and VRII for any of the lenses ?

Nikon just claim that VR1 get 3 stops advantage, while VR2 get 4 stops advantage.
But in daily practice, there won't be significant difference, especially if the object keep moving.

i agreed, i think the technique of handling the camera is more significant. still no samples images of those already got the lens :)

What's the street price for the 55-300mm, $500?

I'm more interested in the 24-120. Hope the price will not hit above $2.5k..

BTW, does the 24-120 extend its length when I do a zoom in?

since some of you guys already have their new lens, time to post some pics ;) of course not here in nikon subforum :nono:

The prices above are RRP. Street prices will be cheaper.

Just a rough estimate, can I estimate the street prices to be:
AF-S 85 F1.4G - S$2000 - $2100 (RRP S$2459)
AF-S DX 55-300 -S$470 - $500 (RRP S$599)
AF-S 28-300 - S$1250 - $1320 (RRP S$1599)

Better if its cheaper :D

Anyway, the 85 1.fG looks poisonous...
i will get the 28-300, if the price is 1200.

from the photos of the lens, it will extend when zoomed. :)

looks like the 24-120 have got the highest order, no stock until now. I heard 35mm 1.4 is due soon during photokina, equally interesting lens.
