Did you mean Digital?? Ya... not yet time for me... I hope to hang onto film for another 1-2 yrs... Think I wanna wait and see how digital tec develop.... and max out the 135mm format.......

Some reading around seems to indicate that canon will be launching 2 (maybe 3) new models on 24th August.

1. EOS 370D replacement to 350D.
2. high-speed camera: either a high-speed uncropped version of EOS 5D; or a
3. 1Ds mk2-RS (1dsmk2 w/ pellicle mirror).

Very likely no 1Ds mk3 this year.

don't we love rumours, but the above is from what seems to be a "reliable" source on the net who predicted the 30D correctly.

The lastest Sony A100 is 10.2 MPIX and has built-in anti-dust system and IS; kind of renders the MEGA expensive IS lenses a bit obsolote (does anyone want to sell me one at a huge discount, then I might keep my old 350 camera...?). It also has 9-point AF and a 2.5" monitor.

So, will the new 370D have IS and 10+ MPIX and 9 or more autofocus points like the Sony... 12+ MPIX would be nice. Let's hope for minimum a 2.5" and better still 3" LCD monitor and maybe up to 3,200 ISO and more than 3 FPS, maybe 5 or 7?

No, the entry level camera cannot be better than the semi-pro range.
