yea i was playing with one of the sets today at the cathay event and noticed that the HDR mode was activated and the person using it was wondering why the cam was so slow. once i switched it off, it worked better and faster. check the settings before using
yup i turned off DRO + all the lens correction thingamajigs and it works perfectly now =D
just couldnt get the high ISO NR off, it still will be a tad slow at ISO1600 jpegs..

Yah especially if the camera gone through so many hands and the settings all screwed up. One of the demo set I was using has the ISO and Exposure button switched. Haha quite a turn off, when I try to adjust the ISO and then see otherwise.
Actually I wonder what he is comparing it to or what is he using previously? Maybe he can share with us his perspective on it

on my nex5, i always use dro auto too... no such concern.
hw does DRO affect IQ?
if it is minimin, then i think i willingly to turn off for better respond time

shall go google on DRO and HDR to see their impact on pics.

I select D-R off, at iso 200, the processing still come out...
i think maybe other settings... will play ard more..

from A55/A33 its part of the LCD/EVF Display Button or menu. Not sure if this is the same as A77.

that's wierd this is similar to take long exposure with NR on? how long this "processing" is on? I assume it's not the SD/MS card, you using the supplied memory card right?
I got that sometimes when my A33 battery is almost drained and shooting RAW+JPEG although no processing is displyed but you could see the red (read/Write) LED blinking and I cant do display the pix when cam is doing that.

The "Processing" is 1 sec or shorter.

Personally not aware of such deal with free battery . The lens kit is oos for most frenly shops . Retail stores like Sony will sell at rrp. Not forgetting restocks may be limited due to Sony thai factories being shutdown
