How do you convert into DVD? By your DVD burner software? How much does the overall file size reduces from the orignal .avi file? I tried converting to Xvid, it is about 25% of the original size...
merxantia said:The avi file at 788MB is reduced to about 220-240MB in DVD VOB format. The idea was to just convert the AVI into a playable DVD for my friend. I seperated the AVI into seperate streams of movie and audio and recompile them back together. You definitely get much better compression results with the Xvid codec.
