exposure metering and control r amazing, foreground and background r in harmony;p

"A" mode, snap shots, no pp, direct upload from jpg file.

just curious... was the Gradation set to Auto? i see some noise on the shadows and dark parts

Just checked last one, it is Auto Gradation, according to Olympus Master.

Vivid Picture Mode

Spot metered (not bad ...). The metering really raises my curiosity to go to a shop and try this E-PL1 hands-on ...

I passed by one yesterday, looks "cheap" build for its price, but who cares, as long as it performs ...

haha, i tried @ IT show today with 17mm lens.
Silver color....but feels abit plasticky compared to EPs & my GF-1.
Can tell they cut down on the built quality...so feel not so shiok.

AF & IQ cant test....only molest it:bsmilie:

My work cam with lens & Flash already weight near 3kg, I dont feel very shiok when I use it more than 8 hours for my assignment.:bsmilie:

actually plasticky is what i looking in E-PL1, the lighter the better, dont feel the load when i bring it out daily with me like a PnS cam shooting for fun.

Agreed! It's so much easier on my shoulder and I can now carry it everyday in my laptop bag. I like the live view too as my Nikon D80 has none. Live view is a plus when you want someone to help you to take pictures of yourself.

tt's the reason y i come into m4/3. it goes wherever i go with a neck strap!

but comparing the feel between the ep-1/2, gf1 & ep-L1 the the feel is more toy like ;(. i prefer the weight/feel compromise on the ep-1/2 & gf1 much more.

haha juz to share bought my plastic yashica f521....for creative shots

finally able to try the E-PL1 at the IT show. I dont find it to focus faster than the E-P1/P2. I did try them side by side using the kit lens. i even find the E-P2 more responsive though i cant say for sure.

feel wise, i still think E-P1/P2 wins. i forgot to try the built-in flash though :kok:

Tried it out at ITshow. Focusing speed doesn't seem much diff between the 3 mFT model :(
Size is also not as "compact" as expected.

Will wait for more reviews before deciding...

Anyone bought the champagne gold / silver one? Just want to check whether the kit lens 14-42 is black or silver in colour? How do you like your colour choice? I wanted to look for the white one, but when I had a quick glance of it in real life, white makes it look a bit too plasticky than gold/silver. By the way, very hard to find single-lens kit currently in the shops I frequent.

is it? I bot the single lens kit 14-42 from AP at SLS. gold/silver body, lens is silver too.

THanks XIng for the pic. Looks great! Was confused cos the box shows black lens with the champagne gold unit right?

Anybody bought a white one?
