Oh I just received the Olympus Mailer.
Probably means its in stores now!
Is this mailer from Olympus USA or Singapore? I :think:it is from USA and not Singapore.
I made several enquries to some shops regarding the arrival of EPL-1. They said that Olympus has not informed them yet.

Seems like the slow AF is still not resolved on the EPL1...
I've have intention to get one to shoot my children... does 0.5sec delay really matters?

Does it matter ? Given you the E-PL1, I bet you'll shoot video instead.
Guys, check out the pics put up at Imaging Resources. To my eyes, the E-PL1 is cleaner than the 7D at iso800 and on par with the D300s! E-PL1 noise at iso 800 also looks to be in same ball-park as iso 400 on E-3! Very usable iso800 :vhappy:
Colour saturation seems to have gone down a bit though and maybe less accurate

Wow, what I did notice was the E-P1 has alot more detail in the samples compared to the E-P1/E-P2/E3. Thumbsups for the lighter AA filter again. :thumbsup::thumbsup:
No I won't. I already got Canon HF21 for Full HD recording
back to the 0.5 sec delay, have to used it to determine if it really matter to you.

That's good ... as per Steve Huff website, he said the GF1 had a lighter AAF, and was sharper than E-P1/EP2. Maybe this E-PL1 should be sharper. Read one rumor somewhere one Panasonic model will have no AAF later.
I hope later Olympus models will have no AAF at all, just like the Leicas. I like the Olympus IBIS ...

Guess I would give a second-hand EP1/2 a miss for now unless the pricing is worth it. But when is the EPL1 expected to be in Singapore ? Is the slow focussing a very big issue? Might be about $1k for some other form of kit,but still much better than the E-P1 and E-P2 considering it has features from both of them. Should be arriving or here already,just not on sale and or display yet, slow focussing that issue is subjective, some expect lightning fast AF,some are ok with the PENs AF, since you find that the E-P1's AF is ok, it should be good enough for you
I don't think any shops are selling it yet though you can call the shops to ask, ISO3200 being usable is subject,best you check on review sites and decide for yourself

Before you get all excited, they purposely only show fleeting shots of the camera, but I think I see a kit lens on it and lol is that focus hunting i see in the advert? : P

checked with MSC and AP over the weekends, neither have information on when the stock will arrive... sigh..
