Hello
Getting confused about some aspects regarding post-editing. I have the following query. Camera is the 300D, and taken at LARGE NORMAL.
1. ORIGINAL
Pictures taken were slightly dark. Reading from CF card shows the photo size to be 3xxx MB x 2000 MB (forgot the actual number), and filesize to be 1.4MB.
2. POST-EDITING USING PAINTSHOP PRO 5.0
Used the ADJUST COLOURS menu to slightly lighten the photo. Photo size remains 3xxx MB x 2000MB, filesize 1.2MB, but is at 72 pixels per inch.
3. POST EDITING USING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS
Used the ADJUST COLOURS menu to slightly lighten the photo. Photo size remains 3xxxMB x 2000MB, filesize is 0.538MB, but is at 180 pixels per inch.
4. QUERY
I am sending the photo on a CD to a friend. If she took to the developing labs in town, which would give her a better/clearer photo? Assuming she prints them at 4R and 8R sizes. Which is more important, filesize or pixels?
Sorry if the terminology is incorrect and the query is not phrased correctly.
Thanks for all viewing a newbie's query.
