Possible MO for Canon Speedlight Flash Products

I am going to conduct a MO for Canon Flash products.

Want to measure the level of interest for the following items before doing so. Need considerable volume to have bargaining power.

If there is good demand, I will post availability and price on Tue, 1 July 2003.

Meanwhile, you can contribute by listing the best prices and shops you have obtained so far. Please list NETT prices (inclusive GST) to standardise for comparison. Will benefit members even if MO is unsuccesful.

The items for MO would be :

1) 550EX
2) 420EX
3) 380EX
4) 220EX
5) MR-14EX
6) MT 24EX
7) ST-E2
8) Off Camera Shoe Cord 2

Disclaimer: I am doing groundwork to conduct a possible MO. In the event that the pricing is not favarouble, there is nothing much I can do. We will know on 1 July whether all the effort is worth it.

Same here, I am looking for an external flash but having a difficulty to choose. Need to do some research first.

I don't think 380EX is available. It face out. THat is what the sales guy from A.P told me.... now is 420EX and 550EX.

Just called the supplier. 380EX is discontinued. Leftover stock are all in the retail shops already. Sorry.

Looks like there isn't a lot of people interested. Volume cannot even exceed 10 units despite so many different models.

I am looking for 420EX. Total only 4 people interested including myself. Difficult to bargain for better price. .

So far, Spuddy's price for 420EX is the cheapest. $310 w/GST at Alan Photo.

I'll wait until Tuesday, then call up to ask pricing. Hopefully more people show interest.

Response is not too bad after all. I will post the price tomorrow evening. Please do not expect like $50 off the lowest price for 420EX hor. This is not parallel import.

If my source cannot give me lower than AP price, I will order from AP and do collective bargaining.

Ok. This is a chicken and egg problem.

If the price is not right, you can pull out. The point is to have the intention and means to buy in the first place. This MO is for people ready to make a purchase and is searching for better price.

I just want to make sure that I dun tell the supplier to quote price for 20 pieces and then end up only ordering 2. Like that next time they won't entertain us anymore.
