Is it just me or the skin is too smooth to the extent that it looks unreal?
Just my humble opinions.
Name place and time I will be there next week.![]()
Beautiful Model...
Solid work as always....

It's not just you. The whole series is plastic skin and plastic smile.
Waileong, do you have an issue with plastic skin and plastic smile? Are you irritated by these? I don't mind if you talk about my skills in shooting or my post processing techniques but saying the above statements mean, to me, that you are directing your finger to both my model and me. I interpret youe statement as you are saying my model has plastic skin and she puts on plastic smile. I cannot tolerate this.
Is your smile like rubber? I won't know until I see you personally. Have you seen my models personally? Have you got close enough to actually rubbed your hands on her face to brush away loose hairs or anything before you make that statement?
The model here is my friend. I have many friends here who are models themselves. Here are 2 original pictures directly from my camera without any editing except for resizing.
See for yourself please. Actually I don't need to do this but I am protecting my friends' interests and reputation. Have you shot girls that have this kind of skin and smile? Are your models comparable to their skins and smile? If you have, please open my eyes and let me learn something from you and understand that my friends' skin and smile is plastic. Either way, you are not in my shoot so you don't see what I see. Please refrain my making such unnecessary remarks that does not help anyone here learn and improve on their photography. You may already be at top level at what you are doing so please keep it that way and don't come in my thread and create unnecessary trouble. If you don't like my photos, so be it. Close your window and look at something else. I am not going to blame you for not making any comments here you know and your such comments are definitely not welcomed in my thread. And for all you know, whether you like it or not, these are my pictures and I like to post process them this way and these are my "plastic" friends, not yours.
I am not too long into photography, just about 2 years if I count myself seriously shooting. There are 2 things I have picked along the way:
1) When you want to achieve something, put your head down, do lots of research on it and apply what you learned from your research into practice and be humble about the results.
2) Anything that is not related to you or you do not know or not present in that situation and time or does not help you improve on your skills, it is best to keep quiet and ignore. Trying to talk irrelevant things that you are not physically involved and making a scene around will just show how small you are!
I suggest you remove your post from my thread. If you are not happy about the skin and/or smile, go talk to your kakis somewhere else outside my thread!
It's not just you. The whole series is plastic skin and plastic smile.
Wow. Such a diatribe. I guess you really have been shooting only for two years. Because you can't see how to take comments in stride.
You got it right the first time around. How come you can't see it now?
Although I am not a fan of that DP guy, I agree with what he says-- the photographer is responsible for everything. So if your pix shows plastic skin and plastic smiles, the comment is directed at you, you are responsible.
There was a wedding series posted in CS before the revamp where the Sri Lankan bride had buck teeth. One poster commented how bad those pictures made the bride look. And the response of the TS was that yet, she does have buck teeth, but that's how all her friends know her, and to hide her flaws would not be real pictures of her.
And that was that. No defensiveness remarks about why she is not ugly or why the poster was picking on her for something that was not her fault, etc.
They are beautiful images in deed but not so retro though. Good lighting and pretty model
I think there are some who don't like too much post process work. Maybe they think that it is too perfect to be accepted. But there are others who like your works too. Infact every piece of your work is an art.
I always inspired by your shots.
