Many here had hammered to death this point...impossible to not have politics in human societies and organisation, I can't agree more. See my many stab wounds on my back, you'll understand why.
I joined an international photography group, because I always felt that Singaporeans tend to get really political very fast, because we tend to hurt our own kind without delay and much thots. After being in that group for some 2 years, and having attained some recognition from it, politics began rolling in on the red carpet...poof, my dream of utopia was gone in a second. I am still with this group, but I decided to dip my foot into the local scene here, for I love being Singaporean regardless of the flaws.:heart:
In a nutshell, don't waste your resource and emotions in seeking a place where there's no politics, but rather, accept it, you may stay away from it, but don't cut yourself from anything everytime you see politics, for you'll be chasing the air without any results. My 5cts worth.

Interesting, of couse I am a lady lah.
Some of the clubsnappers have been to outings with me. One of the ang mohs even brought me out for a short coaching session which I thank him as I did "learn" something.
Hmmm, if you consider what I am doing is infactuation, I think guru should be more than glad to hear that as I am not the only one supporting him. The gang of us have 5 ladies and 6 guys, just that I have an account in clubsnap. So, 5 ladies and 6 guys infactuated with guru? And I am sure we are not the only group who support him. There are many others, be it big or small. I think the better word might be "support" and friendship. Yeah, call this politics too! This is why all of us decided to quit after some discussion and shoot happily over the weekend.
Friendship through photography is something we treasure and hope to keep it going.

I don't recall being in favour of SLCC after an incident I had there. Perhaps the better word to replace "slam" :nono: is "comment".

Thanks for reminding me. It took us a long while to realise the ugly truth and we were luckly that we saw light now. Just that there were others who saw it long before us.
